The order of chaos

In mathematics, chaos theory is the study, through models of mathematical physics, of dynamic systems that exhibit exponential sensitivity with respect to the initial conditions.
 Systems of this type, although governed by deterministic laws, are capable of exhibiting an empirical randomness in the evolution of dynamic variables.
This random behavior is only apparent, given that it occurs when the asymptotic time course of two systems with arbitrarily similar initial configurations is compared.
